Born in Lucca, Francesco Natali attended the Art Institute and Academy of Fine Arts. He has worked as a cartoonist for many newspapers, including Cuore, Linus, Nilus, L'Unità, L'Intrepido, Paese Sera, Corriere Adriatico, and Il Tirreno. In 1986, he created the 'Clinica Spennapolli' strip, which is published in Professione Veterinaria. Three years later followed 'Topounto'. Other characters by Natali are 'Il Dottor Spennapolli', 'Nonnino', 'La Famiglia Megabait' and 'Vacanze'. In addition, he works with computer graphics.
